Strengthening values in the Mentari Sehat Indonesia community in empowerment practices

In the present era, the concept of community empowerment, highlighted in the SDGs, has gained traction as a prevailing phenomenon on the global social landscape. Mentari Sehat Indonesia (MSI) implements a community empowerment practice based on noble values. To describe the noble values that exist in the MSI community in community empowerment practices and the stages of their internalization, the universal noble values category developed by Kluckhohn is used. This research is a single case study with data sourcing from informant, library study, written document and archive, and visual data collected through interview, observation and documentation. 12 people informant was selected purposively based on sex, leadership for regional subsidiary organization, and education level. Data was analyzed using an interactive model of analysis including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing as well as verification. Data validation was conducted using source triangulation technique.  The study discovered several important values within the MSI Community, including views on life, work, ethics, nature, time, and relationships among people. The internalization of noble values was conducted by MSI community through value transformation, value transaction, and trans-internalization stages. These three stages seem to be a good strategy in forming work character for an organization or community. 

Sustainable Development Through Community Empowerment Based On Local Wisdom

Poverty remains a serious challenge in developing countries, requiring a holistic and sustainable approach. This article describes the concept of community empowerment as the core of comprehensive development. This empowerment involves strengthening the capacity of communities through education, knowledge, and skills, enabling them to be independent and not completely dependent on the government to create jobs.Local wisdom is an important factor in this approach, considering that each community has unique characteristics that require tailored solutions. As an alternative, human resource-based and environmental development emphasizes the sustainable use of material and non-material resources. South Korea is a successful example of this approach, although challenges remain in achieving ecological targets that integrate economic, social, and cultural aspects.The fundamental difference lies in who leads these efforts. The government usually initiates the community development approach, while community empowerment comes from within the community with government support. A "bottom-up" approach with the principles of enabling, empowering, and protecting is the key to achieving sustainable empowerment. This article also highlights the importance of local wisdom in sustainable development which includes ecological, social, and economic aspects. Thus, this article attempts to link the success of community-based development with the achievement of ecological targets, with community empowerment as a key element that needs further analysis. In conclusion, to tackle poverty sustainably, we need to understand and apply these principles in our respective local contexts.

Community Based Tourism Management in Bajandik Riam Tourism, Batu Benawa, Hulu Sungai Central District

This study aims to analyze and identify Community-Based Tourism Management in Riam Bajandik Tourism and examine the actors involved in managing the tourism both internally and externally. In addition to knowing the factors that influence the management of Riam Bajandik tourism. The results of the study show that tourism management is only formed based on deliberation meetings from the agreement of the residents, the management has support from the Regional Government even though in its implementation there are rules that are violated especially there is no legality nor is there a written letter, Actor involvement is only carried out by the surrounding community, namely the Village Head , Community Patrons, Religious Leaders, Pokdarwis Members and Tourism Managers. One of the principles in tourism development is that it leads to the concept of community empowerment and social participation, in which the tourism manager is only managed by the surrounding community and the spirit of mutual cooperation is high. Several inhibiting factors related to the management of Riam Bajandik Tourism, namely, frequent miscoordination and communication between managers, lack of budget for development, lack of human resources (HR) regarding Art Of Tourism (Art in Tourism), lobbying which is always accommodated by the government, and conflicts of interest in tourism business competition. IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM KELUARGA HARAPAN (PKH) DALAM PENANGGULANGAN KEMISKINAN DI DESA NGAGEL KECAMATAN DUKUHSETI KABUPATEN PATI TAHUN 2021

The implementation of Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) in Ngagel village was going well according to the PKH implementation guidelines, many people felt helped and their living expenses were reduced, especially for education and health costs. However, the Family Hope Program in Ngagel Village cannot be said to be able to reduce poverty, because there is no community economic empowerment to improve the economy. In the context of empowering the independence of PKH recipients as well as the concept of community empowerment and assistance, PKH in Ngagel village should be further improved in order to increase income and accelerate the independence of PKH participants.Keywords: Implementation, PKH, Poverty

Model Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Dan Sosial Masyarakat Berbasis Masjid Kampus Surabaya (Studi Kasus Pada Masjid Kampus Unair, Its Dan Unesa)

Mosque-based community empowerment is a da'wah movement to increase the independence and welfare of the community. Mosques as religious institutions are expected to be able to prosper society with productive programs through the concept of community empowerment in the economic and social fields. Based on these reasons, this study aims to find a campus mosque-based community empowerment model from the economic and social aspects. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method with pattern matching analysis techniques. Data collection used a criteria technique to determine informants who totaled 5 takmir in three mosques, namely, Manarul '11mi ITS Mosque, Ulul 'Azmi Unair Mosque, and Baitul Makmur Unesa Mosque to be interviewed in depth, observed, and documented. The results of this study found that every mosque has enormous potential in empowering the socio-economic community, but it has not been optimal in its implementation so that the congregation and the wider community do not feel the impact of the presence of the mosque. This is also due to the lack of professional experts in mosque management. The combination of the three campus mosques produces a mosque-based economic and social-community empowerment model that can be implemented in mosques that wish to empower the community economically and socially. If a mosque wants to do empowerment, it is required to collaborate with the government, universities, the community, and the private sector. Mosques must implement modern administration and be able to identify community potential. Inputs to economic empowerment include institutions, leadership and goals. The process of economic and social empowerment includes spiritual formation, personal mental formation, capacity building, and empowering. The output of economic-social empowerment includes character strengthening, mental character strengthening, emotional relationship strengthening, business strengthening and economic-social strengthening. The outcomes obtained include spiritual abilities, economic abilities and social abilities so that they are able to give birth to world and hereafter welfare. Thus the mosque is not only prospered by the community, but the mosque is able to prosper the community.

Assistance in Religious Moderation Curriculum Design in the Digital Era Islamic Religious Education Courses in Salahuddin Pasuruan

The Interdisciplinary Study-Based Islamic Religious Education Doctoral Study Program conducts community service activities in the form of curriculum workshops based on religious moderation values at the Salahuddin College for Islamic Studies (STAIS), Pasuruan. The workshop is designed to assist in the curriculum development process, particularly for the Islamic Education subject and other courses based on religious moderation values. This community service project adopts the ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) concept of community empowerment as its strategy. Material for the construction of higher education curricula, curricula based on religious modernization, and the local curriculum model of STAIS Pasuruan based on religious moderation and Islamic boarding schools were disseminated because of this project. The Islamic Religious Education of STAIS Pasuruan Study Program is expected to implement planned follow-up activities in the form of curriculum insertion practices.

 The purpose of this study was to synthesize research results with the topic of community-based community empowerment in Indonesia using the Scopus database. The method used is a semi-systematic literature review (SSLR). Semi-systematic analysis shows that there are two main themes, namely the identification of scientific journals that contain articles on the topic of community-based community empowerment in Indonesia and the phenomenon of community-based community empowerment in Indonesia from previous studies. The findings in this study are publications on the topic of community-based community empowerment in Indonesia, the phenomenon of community-based community empowerment in Indonesia still can be explored more deeply considering the surge in articles related to this topic in 2020; Community empowerment is one of the strategies to reduce poverty in Indonesia. As a coping strategy, community empowerment is also provided with related regulations. The National Program for Independent Community Empowerment, empowerment of microfinance institutions (LKM), and micro-credit schemes and tourist villages are examples of the application of the concept of community empowerment in Indonesia, but the application still requires some improvements, for example by considering social capital such as local institutions, local wisdom Local customs, norms, and customs as an effort to apply the concept of community empowerment are getting closer to the main goal, namely reducing poverty and improving community welfare.
 
 
 
 
 

Community empowerment: A concept analysis.

To report an analysis of the concept of community empowerment. Concept analysis. Literature published in the CINAHL, PubMed, Scopus and Medline electronic databases from 2016 to 2022 were systematically searched from 30 July to 1 October 2022. The amended guideline from Walker and Avant's approach (2011) to concept analysis was performed in nine stages: choosing a concept, determining the purpose of analysis, identifying definitions of the concept, defining attributes, identifying a model case, identifying antecedents, identifying consequences, defining empirical referents and applying the concept to nursing practice. Community empowerment is a fundamental idea in health promotion that may assist communities in defining priorities, making choices, developing strategies and executing them to improve health and minimize inequalities in health. Community empowerment is an effective tool that advanced practice nurses (APNs) may employ to eliminate health inequities and promote community health. This concept analysis is one step towards broadening nurses' understanding of one of the ideas of health promotion. Additionally, the concept of community empowerment represents an opportunity for additional research in nursing that is applicable to communities. Community empowerment has served as a guiding paradigm for both theory and practice in health promotion. Also, it is recognized that social, economic and environmental elements have a direct effect on health status. However, community empowerment research in advanced nursing practices is limited. This paper will guide future nursing research on community empowerment that goes beyond involvement and engagement, for this is an effective strategy APNs can use to address health disparities and improve community health.

Internalization of green social work values in the Climate Village Program in Ujungalang Village Cilacap Regency

The impact of climate change has been a concern for the world, including Indonesia. The government launched a national-scale Climate Village Program in response to such conditions. Researchers explored this program through a study on the internalization of the values of Green Social Work in the Climate Village Program in Ujungalang Village, Cilacap Regency, Central Java Province. The method applied in the exploration was a qualitative method employing a case study approach. The case study was carried out considering that the case in Ujungalang Village was unique. The results showed that the Climate Village Program in Ujungalang Village had internalized the Green Social Work value system, including equality, social inclusion, equitable distribution of resources, and rights-based. The value system developed dynamically to realize sustainable community welfare. In addition, the Climate Village Program also applies the concept of community empowerment (community-based development). These activities are carried out by the community and their institutions, which aim to mobilize and manage human and natural resources within and outside the village and to direct and strengthen adaptation and mitigation efforts to the impacts of climate change.

Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Dalam Pengembangan Wisata Desa Kuta Jungak Kecamatan Siempat Rube Kabupaten Pakpak Bharat Provinsi Sumatera Utara

The purpose of this study was to analyze the process and stages of empowerment carried out by the Tourism and Culture Office of Pakpak Bharat Regency to Pokdarwis Mersada Asa Maju in developing Kuta Jungak village tourism. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results showed that the concept of community empowerment has been applied in the village of Kuta Jungak. The empowerment program was carried out by the Pakpak Bharat Regency Tourism and Culture Office to the Mersada Asa Maju Pokdarwis. The concept of community empowerment through the awareness stage, capacity stage and empowerment stage. Community empowerment in the development of Kuta Jungak village tourism, is characterized by the existence of supporting factors and inhibiting factors. The supporting factors consist of: the village head, the potential of Kuta Jungak village, local wisdom, institutions, security and order in the village of Kuta Jungak and the BUMDes of Kuta Jungak. While the inhibiting factors include facilities and infrastructure (consisting of access to tourist objects, signs or directions, cleaning facilities), lack of motivation, funds and budget, human resources include knowledge, skills, ethics and community behavior

Sociopreneurship to Reduce Extreme Poverty in the Coastal Areas of Pangkajene Islands: A Literature Review

Pangkep has many natural resources due to its characteristics consisting of urban areas, highlands and islands. On the other hand, Pangkep is an area with a high level of extreme poverty. This poverty portrait can be found in four districts of Pangkajene Islands and the farthest island, 293 kilometers from Pangkep City. Sociopreneurship offers the concept of community empowerment so that they can rise from the downturn due to the economic problems faced by the coastal communities of the Pangkajene Islands. This study aims to formulate strategies for implementing sociopreneurship in the coastal areas of the Pangkajene Islands that are experiencing extreme poverty problems. This study used a qualitative research method with a literature review approach. This study found three sociopreneurship models: providing a place to sell SME products, developing tourist villages, and seeking investors for processing marine products. Strategies for implementing sociopreneurship include (1) running a sustainable business model, (2) running a coastal community empowerment program, (3) innovating products and services, (4) establishing partnerships and collaborations, (5) adopting a community-based approach, and (6) ) considering economies of scale and reproducibility.

Empowering Rural Entrepreneurs through Independent-Entrepreneurship Literacy Program

It is well known that the economic development of a country largely depends on the economic development and the living standards in rural areas. Yet, it is also a fact on the contrary that there is a major problem faced by rural entrepreneurs, namely illiteracy. Illiteracy causes some other problems, including lack of financial resources, low business management skills, lack of proper marketing, and lack of human resource management. The same situation is encountered by bamboo craftsmen in Rogomulyo Village, who has low entrepreneurial competencies. This condition encourages the need for entrepreneurship education in a rural area. By integrating the concept of community empowerment and entrepreneurship capacity building, the present program implemented independent-entrepreneurship literacy for bamboo craftsmen in Rogomulyo Village. It aims to enhance their competencies in running a small business. For reaching that outcome, this program applied Participatory Action Research (PAR) which consists of five stages, including problem identification, action planning, acting, evaluation, and specifying learning achieved. More specifically, the entrepreneurship programs implemented are business literacy, financial literacy, and digital marketing literacy. The finding suggests that the implementation of an independent-entrepreneurship literacy program could enhance bamboo craftsmen’s competencies so that they could develop their bamboo craft business in Rogomulyo Village. However, they still require support from several parties, including local government, local companies, and others.

Strategi Perencanaan Partisipatif dan Public Relations pada Wisata Edukasi Tanaman Obat dalam Meningkatkan Ekonomi Masyarakat di Desa Jubung Kabupaten Jember

The concept of educational tourism is tourism that applies non-formal education for tourists through tourism activities and learning with fun methods. And in this study the research subject is a vehicle for tourism that has a significant impact on managers and the community. That is the educational tour of Jubung Jember medicinal plants. At the beginning of this educational tour, there was no dialogue process between the management and the community. There is only a dialogue process between the management and superiors or parties from the campus (University of Jember), the purpose of the meeting is to discuss anything related to medicinal plant education vehicles, and also discuss plants or plants that are lacking in the vehicle, also discuss about how this vehicle became one of the most favored by all circles. This research uses qualitative research. Nelson, Treicher, and Grossberg say that qualitative research is an independent field of inquiry. Meanwhile, the strategy of the management of the Jubung Jember medicinal park tourism is as follows: 1. Strategy with the Participatory Planning Concept is the planning and decision-making process in development programs which are often carried out from top to bottom (top Don planning). 2. The second strategy is a strategy by directly involving the community in the procurement of educational tourism at the drug park. 3. The third strategy is to fulfill the concept of community empowerment. an increase every year before this pandemic period in 2017 got more around Rp. 10,000,000 in 2018 earned Rp. 15,000,000 in 2019 decreased greatly due to the covid-19 pandemic that attacked our activities, so that all activities did not run according to instructions, which only received as much as Rp. 2,000,000. So it can be seen at the time the Medicine Park was established, it can be concluded from the report above that there was an increase in income in 3 years. Not only that, this has an impact on the economic life of the surrounding community who sell near Jubung Jember Drug Tourism.

Optimalisasi Potensi Ekonomi Pesantren Melalui Usaha Ritel Pada Annuqayah Mini Market Guluk-Guluk Sumenep

The high rate of poverty, unemployment, and the lack of employment opportunities are very crucial problems in Indonesia. The Indonesian economy is still facing serious basic problems. Relying on government performance and work programs alone will not be enough to solve this problem. It takes an institution or agency that helps to solve the problems of the Indonesian economy. Pesantren come to help developing and empowering the Indonesian economy. Currently, Pesantren is not only educational institutions, but can also actively contribute to the socio-economic life of the community. This is proven by the success of several retail businesses owned by pesantren. Besides being able to support the economy of the pesantren, the economic potential of the Pesantren through retail businesses can also help the economy of the surrounding community with the concept of community empowerment. Pesantren also benefit from the existence of learning media for students in entrepreneurship, both in terms of leadership, management, financial regulation, and so on. From these various advantages, the economic potential of Pesantren can be categorized as very useful and contribute in Indonesian economy. So it would be better if the pesantren economy was optimized in order to improve the national economy. This study seeks to reveal the economic potential of Pesantren through retail businesses in order to improve and develop the Indonesian economy. The optimization effort starts from the implementation of marketing strategies, including management of promotion, branding, physical evidence, and products. This is important to do because it has not been implemented in the AMM store. A company will progress and develop if it continues to make improvements and innovations. If not, then the company will not be able to compete and survive in the midst of an increasingly rapid market development. Improvements in management, strategy, and communication at the AMM Store should be done. This is important to do considering that they have not realized the implementation of management and marketing strategies to the fullest. In fact, the potential of the AMM store which is in the middle of a large Islamic boarding school is one of the potential market shares.

Literasi Media Digital Pada Komunitas Pariwisata di Kawasan Danau Toba

Lake Toba region is included in one of the 10 priority tourism destination locations. To answer the challenges of changing world tourism trends that utilize digital technology, several strategies must be carried out. In digitizing the process, it is necessary to involve the local community in formulating regulations, strengthening value chain partnerships between businesses in the tourism sector, increasing motivation and enabling the community through various kinds of assistance and training. Therefore, research is conducted that has the aim to develop the tourism potential of the Lake Toba Region through digitalization with the concept of community empowerment. As the output of this research, a community will be formed in each Lake Toba District, so that based on this community various development policies and strategies can be formulated in overcoming problems and developing the tourism sector in the Lake Toba region.

PENERAPAN TEKNOLOGI LOKAL MESIN PEMBUAT ADONAN ROTI BERKUALITAS (QUALITY BREAD DOUGH) UNTUK PEMBERDAYAAN DAN PENGEMBANGAN INDUSTRI KECIL ROTI

The purpose of this proposed service is to empower the small bread industry in UD. Sarila, Gebang, Jember, through the application of local technology, making machines of bread dough that are more quality, efficient, easy to obtain, easy to maintain, and affordable prices, do not depend on import technology, this technology also empowers the workshop business in the vicinity.Methods: In order for this activity to be accepted and beneficial for both user partners, the approach and steps to be implemented are the community empowerment approaches. The overall impact of this activity is the realization of community independence, that is, people who are able to solve their own problems. Based on the concept of community empowerment, the stages of implementing community service activities are as follows;coordination and preparation of activities by the activity organizer, socialization of activities to the small bread industry, compilation of a work plan between the executor and UD. Sarila, making bread dough making machine, training on the operation and maintenance of the machine that is diffused, training on making bread dough by using a diffused tool, administrative and organizational management training, monitoring and evaluating activities, reports on scientific publications and mass media.Results: Activities undertaken in this service include; making prototype machines, training in operation and maintenance, training in making better quality bread, management training, making posters and videos of these service activities, making scientific publications manuscripts, registering publications manuscripts to local print media namely Jember Post Newspapers, and making final reports.  Conclusion: The application of technology and training in this service especially the application of a bread dough mixer has increased the production capacity and quality of bread in UD. Sarila. Improved administrative management and organizational structure that is more organized and structured. 

KONSEP AWAL PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT OLEH ‘AISYIYAH

One of the social capital that the Indonesian nation has to conduct community empowerment since the pre-independence era until today is ‘Aisyiyah. Since its establishment in 1917, ‘Aisyiyah has owned many models of social empowerment through its movements spread throughout Indonesia and abroad. ‘Aisyiyah has also conducted the community empowerment through a media, Suara ‘Aisyiyah. The initial concept of community empowerment by ‘Aisyiyah needs to be revealed because it is the basic identification conducted by ‘Aisyiyah as a whole until today. This writing reveals two things. First, the initial concept of community empowerment by ‘Aisyiyah contained in Suara ‘Aisyiyah in the era of national movement. Second, the community empowerment sectors conducted by Suara ‘Aisyiyah in the era of national movement. As a whole this writing reveals a phenomenon that is different from a description happening in the colonial era. Generally in the pre-independence era women were described as the members of society who were uneducated, backward, and had no actions in public domain. This writing reveals that women in the pre-independence era had the concept of community empowerment complete with its sectors

Empowering Volunteer Spirit through The King's Philosophy to Solve Problems in Community: A Case Study of Volunteer Spirit Group in Phutthamonthon, Nakhonchaisri, and Sam Phran District Nakhon Pathom* Province.

This research article aims to study, analyze, and develop community capacity to empower communities and prevent social problems in Nakhonpathom province. This work is qualitative research and uses documentary research to create training prototypes and focus groups among sample groups or key informants. This is a group of volunteers' spirits, Phutthamonthon, Nakhonchaisri Samphran district totaling 34 people to be aware of the community's problems.
 The study results showed that the training model obtained from the document's synthesis and processing consisted of the volunteer concept, The King's philosophy, the concept of community empowerment. After that, the focus groups found that the volunteer spirit group in the Phutthamonthon district voted that the garbage problem was the biggest, consistent with the volunteer spirit in Samphran district. Both groups propose a waste separation campaign, support equipment from government agencies, educators. In contrast, the Nakhonchaisri district volunteer spirit group resolved that the problem of invasion of the Tha-chin river was the most important. Moreover, proposed state legislation to create a group to negotiate seriously with the government and put pressure on those who transgress the river, including the media as a tool of pressure. Finally, by training the model with a volunteer group, they will understand the problems in their communities and formulate groups to solve problems in the community through volunteer activities.

Sustainable Community Development for Developing of Coastal Areas in Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia

Community empowerment activities are carried out in Alor Regency - East Nusa Tenggara through the application of fish-based food processing technology in 2018 & 2019, aimed at improving the community’s economy in the coastal area of Alor Island and building the concept of sustainable empowerment. The intervention stage is approached by the Community Capacity Building method. Community empowerment carried out through the transfer of knowledge and technology with continuous assistance has implications for improving coastal communities’ skills and the use of technology to increase added value to get better income. In order for community empowerment to be sustainable, LIPI and the local government of Alor Regency have developed a community empowerment concept that local governments can implement to develop their areas and communities in a better and more competitive direction. By collaborating between R & D institutions, local governments, and business actors (triple helix) and the market, it is hoped that the economy of the people in the coastal area of Alor Island will run well and can be a lever in the development of areas based on the use of technology in the community.

Protecting Traditions with Modernization: Community Empowerment in Rejowinangun through the Village of Traditional Herbal Medicine Destination

This article aims to provide another perspective on the concept of community empowerment by utilizing local potential with cultural value combined with a tourism-based empowerment pattern. Herbal medicine as a hereditary heritage in Rejowinangun village is optimized for marketing in the concept of a tourist village, thereby increasing its economic value in a modern society. To achieve this goal, this study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to capture the context of changes experienced by the community to see the significance of the empowerment model. The results of this study indicate that the process of developing the production of herbal medicine as a processed product of herbal plants is produced through the use of land owned by the community. The expertise of the Rejowinangun village community in concocting traditional herbal medicine is produced from hereditary inheritance. As a form of re-actualization in the marketing system, modern methods were introduced, from the concept of a tourist village to marketing herbal medicine in the form of instant packaging. Modernization steps in all aspects as part of empowerment have an impact on increasing the economic value of these products, so that they have an impact on improving the community in the economic, social, cultural, environmental and health fields. The integration between the concept of cultural preservation and modern management in community development that takes place in the village of Rejowinangun has proven to be effective and efficient, so that this method can be a new alternative in group-based community development that still preserves local traditions and keeps up with the times.
